My Corys breed spontaneously, but being in a community tank not always successful. Got bronze, pepper & albino only the bronze seem to be succesful though.

Question: will the Corys interbreed as all my albinos (3off) seem to females & regularly lay eggs so will these eggs be fertilised by the bronze or peppers, the eggs always get eaten though.

Albinos are in most cases Aeneus. So the same species as the Bronze. So in fact it isn't interbreeding but two colortypes of the same species. They won't interbreed with Pepperes (Paleatus).

Venezuelans (Aeneus-group) would interbreed with albinos and bronze !!! That's why I keep those seperated ImageUploadedByTapatalk1432548633.909534.jpg

Placed my two fat bronze corys females with four males in breeding tank Tuesday evening. Dit some cold rainwater changes Friday and Saterdag night and walla this morning I counted + - 230 eggs. Place earstons werever eggs where laid to insure plenty of water flow.
