2 of my friends are breeding discus and malawis. They're only my age(13) so nothing big at the moment.

I breed Zaire blue (Moba) Frontosa for Stone Aquatics, a sponsor on this site. My frontosa spawn every 3rd month but not always successfully.

My red cherry and blue cherry shrimp breed themselves as do my Japanese blue endlers, Cardinal babaulti complex shrimp and african jewel cichlids. Trying to get my pea puffers to breed but no luck as yet.

So since their are a few people on here breading shrimp, I've got these two shrimp in my tank (see picture).

Would I be correct in saying that the top one is a female and the bottom one is a male?
(This photo was taken a few days ago and have since rearranged my tank)

Only a very slight difference , females (when egg laden) have round bellies , because of the round belly the blue line across the body looks more curved then on the males who's line will appear more striaght , but it is not a fool proof method

yip that's it , but it gets a whole lot more complicated , they need very specific water conditions for breeding, gh 1-2, ph at least a 6 but lower is better , light has to be blocked out once they spawn because both the eggs and the fry are light sensitive and will die if exposed to too much light , lol like I said , hectic amount of research and preperation.
