Looks like a proteinlayer. A bit more surface-aggitation will do the job.

    No Cory no glory

Most likely a protine layer. Try some surface agitation like an air stone.

Agree with what has been said

Its a protein layer from the food, extra agitation should get rid of it

I decided to invest in a small Cascade 170 internal filter, and it has been one of the best buys I have done in a long time.
The filter is tiny, being only 8cm high, 3.5cm wide and 2.5cm thick.
Turned upside down with the sponge part breaking the surface it acts like an excellent surface skimmer, and running it less than an hour in a 3ft tank it clears up any surface protein layers very efficiently.
It can be changed from tank to tank as needed.
When not being used as a surface skimmer it lurks in my 2ft low-tech planted tank, where it adds a bit of flow to the tank.
