Hi , I want to add another species to my 550L community tank, at the moment it consists of 12 Clown loaches 5 torpedo's and 11 rainbows. Its a very busy tank the loaches are confident and very active. i have 2 possibilities in mind; the first is a small school of giant danios, these, i believe are also very active, and will occupy the middle to top level of the tank. The other option is 3-4 angels, what i like about this possibility is that they will create some "stillness" in an otherwise very active tank. I would really appriciate some advice!

P.S I know that once all the fishes mature the tank will eventually become too crowded. when this happens i will get a third tank, in the meanwhile the tank can easily take more members, the filtration is excellent, i change water at least once a week and the loaches still have a long way and many years before they become the giant they can be.

I like the idea of Giant Danios. The angels will seem kind of 'out' in such an active tank.

+1 for the Danios since they are from the same parts as loaches. On your way to creating a biotope :)

    Hi

    I currently have 14 loaches ,
and I have 1 large angel and 12 giant danios with them.

I have never seen a more active fish than a Danio lol
Giant danios are big and extremely fast :)
