Weird growth on wood.

    Hi I found a growth on my wood in the tank what could it be, its white and slimy.

    @JRH - New(ish) wood? It's a benign saprophytic fungus that is feeding off the dead surface cells of the wood - nothing to worry about... usually disapears by itself in a week or two....

    so i can leave it in the tank with no stress ??

    Yup - will go away by itself..... just looks ugly,thats all
