water prep for 700L tank

hi all

i will be starting with my awsome 700L tank this weekend, i have been advised to get info on water preping as water changes to such a big tank may cause damage to my fish.
i am not sure yet what fish will go in there but what would a minimum water change be on a weekly basis as well as what are the steps in preping that water. at the momment i am running a 3 foot tank as well as a 4foot one at work and basic dechlorination and warm water has worked out just fine.

First off, without any specs of the tank, its very difficult to determine the % of weekly WC that you will have to do, as we don’t know if it will be a planted tank, with plenty of ferts, what size filter will you be using …..you the point.

On prepping the water, I had a bit of a bad run in with not prepping my WC water on my planted tank, and lost a few good fish, so this is what I have started doing.

1: got myself a large (120L) plastic dustbin from a plastic warehouse, added a 1200l/h powerhead to the bin, connected air to the filter, so pump in oxygen into the water, filled the bin using the hosepipe and added the correct amount of Seachem prime. I start doing this on Thursday, and Saturday morning, I add a 100W heater into the bin, to get the water to the same Temp as my tank, and Sunday when its time for WC, the water is perfect ( IMO ) for the tank

@Vez have it right there. Big drum to age water and get it to temp. Get 2000lph pump to pump it into the tank. +1
