Under water tree?

    Hey guys

    i saw this today and wondered if anyone knew or has attended to do this yet...

    i think it looks fantastic but have no cooking clue how to get it right

    Looks like moss growing on bog wood.

    yes this is quite a common scapeing feature, basically you need to get the correct moss for this method, christmas and singapore moss are good ones but there are others. find a good "upside down bonsai drift wood" and then you need to lace the moss in some mesh int eh "branches" and let it grow grow grow.
    success of this method it will be beneficial to have good ferts as well as lighting and co2. it is a scape that requires quite a bit of maintenance. as you need to be careful that the middle of the moss ball does not die due to lack of light and then the whole "tree" falls apart as if it was autumn :p

    I did this for a short while. High maintenance, and gets boring quickly.

    I haven't updated the thread for ages, so will have to take some current photo's and post them.
    It is a very slow growth process without co2 and correct lighting. You may find it to be a lot of maintenance, as you have to trim the tree often.
