Twinstar Yotta

I've recently come across the Twinstar Yotta (claiming to be the world's best aquarium steriliser and 2 times more efficient than UV sterilisers).. Have any of you used these, and if so, what was/is your opinion of them?

It was a bit of a must have item in 2014 ... I see replacement disks have arrived, so at least some people are still using it or are in need of replacing the disks.

I have never owned one, but can understand some of the logic why it could work better for some than others.

Have to wonder how that 200% better than UV works. UV at the best of times is no silver bullet for algae. I suppose if you have a well balanced tank, mature in all sense but have a few spots of algae or want to reduce your risk in getting any because of forced extended lighting periods for say an international competition, then adding such a device might be a form of a safety blanket?

Lets see who on TASA is still using it, that would be interesting.
