    Hi
I want to order shrimp from someone from cape town. He is willing to send it via courier and I want to know if shrimp can survive long strips in plastic bags package in a polystyrene box ? Is it too risky and what is normally the survival rate of buying shrimp via couriers ?
Pls give me advice, don't want to waste my money.

Better to send it via Bidair - but it does mean a trip to the airport. You can have your fish in 2 hrs. Much safer

For the record I received an overnight shipment of shrimp and they were all fine. But it is not ideal

Shipped many shrimp over the years to CT. Had no deaths.

As long as they are packaged correctly they can easily do 5 days in a bag.
With breather bags it even longer (10days)

If you don't want to risk shipping from CT, there is quite a lot of places in GP that has shrimp that you can pickup from.
