Tetratec External Canister Filters

Hi All,

I am looking at getting a tetratec cansiter for my new tank, either the EX700 or the EX1200 depending on the price difference.

I am not looking to spend a ton of money and I understand the tetratecs are good for the price.

Could someone pm me a good lps, preferablly in jhb which stock them?

 

im running the EX1200 in my Jewel 300 ltr tank, Its really quiet and seems to work really well.

Hi. Have been running 2 EX1200 for the past year and bought another one a few weeks back. No problems to date. Speak to David at Perky Pets Cape Town (Bergfliet) for a good price. He will send you one to Jhb no problem. Maybe try one of the sponsors and see if they cant help you.

 

Go for it , i run a Ex700 for 3 month now on my 250L tank, easy to maintain and i think R1200 in the platteland is not a bad price ?

 

There is a big difference between 700L/hr and 1200L/h. You will have to look at your tank size and requirements and not at the price difference between the filters. It will be worthless to buy a 700L/h filter that will give you inadequate filtration if you actually need a 1200L/h. So first look at what you need.
