Tanks with Built-in Hood Filter

    Hello,

    Ive seen a few tanks recently with filters built into the hoods?

    Are these any good?

    Anyone has experience with these I would love to hear your experience.

    Yes. Very good.. however I'd always recommend a secondary filter to run with them

    Zoom is right. You would need another filter. You could add an UGF to the mix (cheap filter that works well)

    They work great! As usual it depends on the brand. The juwel tanks have a great all in one thing going.

    I have seen them a few times, the work, but i would definatly add another filtration source

    It help to some degree but as suggested add another filter either out board or internal. I would rather stay away from an under ground filter as suggested previously, experienced some problems with it in the past. Clean the filter in the hood once weekly with your 10-20% water change.
