I need some advice please, my new malawi tank is 1.6m(L) x 55cm(H) x 50cm(w). Will a 2ft tank be enough/big enough as a sump? I have a spare one, and can just convert it. Other option would be to fix my 3ft and convert that, but dont really want to?

Hi Wade, the 3ft would be a much better option as it affords you greater water volume into the system. Your tank is about 400l and with the 3ft you are adding in about another 60-70l. What size pump do you see yourself using if you use the sump?
What other filtration do you have on the tank? You can never have enough with Malawi's!
