at the momment a great home for my beta but still deciding if I should use it as a teach yourself acquascaping tank or make it a hospital / quarantine tank..

now thats a genius suggestion!! No idea y i didn't think of that. will do that, but shouldn't a hospital tank be easy on the lights and things like ferts etc..?

 

It should yes. But you wont have fish in there for too long anyway. So if you treated them you have the tank without fish again. Then he tank will look dull. The plants should help the fish recover actually when ill. More oxygen in the water. Comfort feeling with shelter etc. I'll just stick to easy plants though. Something that's not used to high light anyway. Plants like ferns, Anubia's.
