Reviving my 41 year old stand with 6 tanks in....

I have this stand with 6 custom made tanks... which has served me we well for 41 years..... This weekend... I stripped it, cut off the rusted legs.... welded fresh legs on.... fitted new wiring, and air tubing, replaced some heaters and set it up again..... Still need to fit 2 x light fittings (bottom level) and 2 flaps before completion....

Only 2 of the tanks had to be rebuilt... (the middle 2) .... all the others are still the original tanks..41 years old... an going well!

Thats awesome ! Its always great getting old kit in the swing of things again. I have a stand for my 60 litre that used to be my dads, still remember his old metal framed tank, if i remember correctly the glass was put into the frame with some sort of window putty ! I needed a stand for my tank about a year ago and knowing that my dad as I am is a bit of a hoarder thought i might find it somewhere. It had ended up in my sisters back yard being used as a stand for pot plants ! A bit of wire brushing and a fresh coat of paint and it was good as new. Amazingly it must also be 40 or more years old !
