    Looks like my 2 L201 Columbian Snowball plecos.

    Or is could be L102. Same group diffrent sub spieces

    L201 is normally more white than yellow.

    Amazing what you can sometimes get from LFS when they are juviniles and the LFS assistance are not sure about what they are selling.

    Nothing beats walking into a LFS and seeing a tag "pleco"... But one thing I have learned... don't tell them what it really is, they will try to charge you more :lol:

    Agreed. Have been lucky too on this, once got a Strawberry Peacock for 1/3rd the price because it was sold under the wrong name.

    Agreed but I've noticed mine sometimes go yellowish when stressed.

    Will try grab a photo of one later. They settled now so will be white

    Never do this unless they over charging then tell them in hopes to get it discounted

    The first one looks like a "common" Ancistrus cf cirrhosus to me.
    When young they often have a different pattern than adults.

    A few L plecos came in today. And one was an L201. I looked exactly like this one as the spots looked more yellow than white. It will probably turn more white when it settles more into the tank.

    The closest I can guess is a leopard frog pleco or a clown pleco. But I would have to check the supplier's list from when it was ordered to see what plecos they had in stock.

    I will enjoy looking at them till some one takes them home. I work part time at a pet shop.
    @David Kusner did the pleco get more white spots?
