Please help, I'm stuck!

Hi Everyone,

I have decided to remove the fluorite substrate and to start over for the new Discus setup so I went to builders and bought some irrigation pipe with a big enough circumference to hopefully be able to syphon the fluorite out... Well problem is, it doesn't work .

Please can someone advise what the best way is to remove the substrate? The only other way I can think of is with a plastic container or something and scooping it out... I am hoping the TASA guys and girls have another genius way to do it that will be quicker and maybe easier...?

I know it's late but a kitty litter strainer would work too, if you find one with small holes.

If you want to syphon the substrate out, use only the pipe. Like sucking petrol from a can. The substrate and in the bucket. HTH.
