    Ryno you are quite right, pennywort is banned from imports, see also the UK banned plants thread.

    Just to clarify, it is the Ludwigia which has the yellow flowers, the flowers of pennywort are tiny.

    This Ludwigia, i think this is the plant overflowing in our small river in Oudtshoorn, i will take a closer look but does look the same

    The Ludwigia, if it grows in a river, always grows out of the water and looks something like this:
