Petshop- had it!

I've now had it with my local petshop. being one of only 2 in my city i was trying to give them a chance, supporting them over and over. even though they sell only the cheapest hardware from china at a 300% mark-up.
Then they gave me 4 antibiotic pills (presciption drug) in a plastic packet with no written instructions- telling me to put a whole capsule in 10l of water for my female betta, i put half of that in and she was dead within 15 min.
The canopy that i needed is a daro product and they werent even willing to special order it for me,even though thats clean profit they are making right there.
When you want something from the fish section the owner gives you this PAINED look as if he is really doing you a favour to sell you something.
Yesterday i went in to buy floating plants. 20 minutes no-one to help me. Old woman behind the till asks people to COME BACK LATER! Can you believe it?
i wait, the owner comes in. R6 a short strand for floating plants. Then i ask about snails- blacklisted none the less. R30! R30 really? he shrugs and says thats the price.

im done! really. they wont see me again.

 

Easy - you from Pretoria... Just go to Pet Stop from now on.... Service/knowledge and a pleasant shopping experience...

 

No im not living in pretoria at the moment. im in the lowveld.
i just spend allot of time in pta as the bf is there...

 

Ah...well go do your shopping there then when you in town.... Otherwise,try to direct the owner of your Lowveld LPS here - sure he will learn as much as all the new folk here...he,he

There is a good petshop in Montana Crossing called Petcity where i usually shop.

They are usually very helpfull and the service is also pretty good.

They usually get new things every week so it's always interesting to go in once a week or so,last time i was there they had these huge metal tanks around 900Litres with a few gadgets in them for water readings.
