Parrot Fish laying

Hi
Im just wondering if anyone knows how to stop a fish from laying eggs.
I have parrot fish that pairs with any fish i put her with and lays eggs often. The males dont seem to care too much about fertilising the eggs but she hasnt growen as she lays so often.

are there ways to stop them laying eggs

Maybe lower the temperature

 

Get some Loaches. They will just eat the eggs seconds after they are laid

 

Isnt a parrot fish a hybrid and sterile? This wont stop it from laying but the eggs will never hatch. I dont think you will have much success with stopping the fish from laying. Reproduction is basically all fish want to do (eat, live and reproduce).

 

Maybe the fish do fertalise them but because she is sterile thats why they don't hatch.

 

ill turn the temp down. She may be sterile but i read that it was more common for the males to be sterile. Like donkeys. I just want her to grow a lil haha
