I came to a conclusion the only reason my fish is not propagating is because my Redhead mother in law is staying with us and her negative outlook and hate for me is affecting my innocent fish I shall now buy a second hand alfa (slower suicide)

Hi Corne, One does not buy a tank or sell a tank because of mother in laws, you can buy or sell a tank because of the wife, but not because of the mother in law. If you look in the Tetra guide to keeping fishes, Discusses 1, no 3 it states this quite clearly. So you cannot be influenced in this important decision by the mother in law. In Tetra guide to keeping fishes, in the Book of Breeding, it says in Gouramis 1, phrase 3 and I quote "if the mother in law sayeth evil, then showeth her the door, and let her be damned to the desert to end of her days, and remain thirsty for ever". In the book of Angels 3, phrase 2 it says "Never shalt thou speaketh to thou betrothed about her mother, lest that leadeth to additional negative factors reducing the chance of keeping more fishes in thou aquaria". However in the book of Angels, phrase 15, it does say: "Thou may speaketh to the husband of the mother of thou betrothed, and advise him on the attachment of the wheels of the mode of transportation of thou betrothed, to loosen their attachment, and this will lead to relief of the husband of the mother of thou betrothed". Take care brother, you will be looked after in your dreams.

Would also like to get my hand on that book. @Corne, all of the best with your mother in law and your 2nd hand Alfa, if you buy that Alfa your just getting yourself into some deeper trouble, sorry if there are any out there driving those. You shouldn't have open up your front door when you saw the in law standing there, you should have left through the back door for a months holiday, lol.
