Now I understand what it means . I have 2 Cory's and without even trying and completely unbeknown to me they became 4. And of all places in my guppy breeding tank.

Funny story, I had put them in their about 2 months ago, as part of the cleanup crew, because the snails got out of hand and the pleco just got to big. So things got moved around. At the time I though it was a brilliant plan. The Cory's are small, agile and dont grow very big, so perfect for the guppy tank.

Turns out not so perfect, as there we no baby guppies for 2 months, till I discovered, that fresh baby guppies make nice succulent and tender food for Cory's. So they got moved out and replaced with ancistrust.

Now their are baby guppies and baby Cory's. I know how the baby guppies came about, I have no idea how I landed up with 2 additional Cory's.

So it turns out I have a nice breeding pair and they will be moving out of their community accomodation this weekend to a private honeymoon suite all to them selves. This time I want to see how this came about.

We have had members sharing plants - and then a few weeks later they had cats in the tank.. so eggs scattering and surviving transfers are more common than one would think possible.

I had a pair of Panda Cories that randomly bred too. I kept some coarse foam over my HOB intake, which i replaced as part of maintenance and left in a tub full of plant cuttings. I spotted movement in this tub about 3 weeks later - 2 tiny cories swimming amongst moss fragments

    Nothing really special.
But I am pretty sure they were layed either under the terracota fragments or the plants.[IMG][IMG][IMG]
