    You using Bostic Marine?
not to burst your bubble bud , But I would have gone with Den Braven...especially on big tanks

Bostic Marine just isn't such a good silicone to use , All the Big places like Dory & Wazeers & Exotic uses Den Braven on their big tanks , It's way more better & stronger.

@f-fish , the second seal I am talking of is a 16mm bead all round with devil glue marine silicone. I have done this method with all my tanks and never had one days issue as of yet.

    Kind regards

@Blade love the FEA simulations... id like to see some CFD simulations of the water flow in the tank if u are familiar with it...

Just a quick update, last count was 5 tubes of silicone used and on number 6, lower bracing and upper bracing done, waiting for silicone to cure before continuing. Like watching paint dry! Still a lot of work ahead and curing time before testing and then final setup. Dining room tables make excellent tank building benches!

Still got the black silicone to do all round and center bracing at the top to be placed and siliconed.

Man I wish I had space for a tank like this, but maybe one day. Can't wait to see the end result...

    Update time:

All bracing is in and set, been standing for a few days already. Just completed the black cornering silicone all round. Black silicone to cure and final clean up. Overflow and emergency overflow fitted. Hoping to pressure test this coming weekend if all goes well.

That black silicone sure makes a difference, very nice. Is it marine silicone? Never saw black marine before...

Its devil glue black. I use it on all my tanks as it does not go off colour and also not leave a slim after a period of time.

@neltf , I am unable to comment on the Den Braven as I have not used it yet. Devil Glue is easy to use and I use the below to finish off my cornering.

    Kind regards
