Hi, so my tank has been running for more then 2 weeks. I used Stability for my tank and added gold fish to cycle faster. My nitrate is less then 20. But my Tds is constant on 120 and I need it at least 150 for my shrimps.
    Any idea what to do?
    How to fix it ?
    Is TDs important ?
Is it too early to check TDs or would it change later on because it was 120 on day one.

As far as I know and from experiments I have done the only way to get a much lower TDS is to start with RO water that you can buy from most LFS that do marine. But honestly I dont think it makes a huge difference between 120 and 150 for most shrimp species. In fact if thats the TDS from your tap water origionaly then you have great water quality.

True 120 and 150 is not a big difference but the old tanks the shrimp are at 190-200 tds. So don't want to put them in 120 as 120 to 190 is a jump. So just want to know how to increase it or is TDS really that important ?

TDS + Temp kills .. but like CO2 nobody gets it .. ;-)

Since you do not know what constitutes the TDS trying to fix it in the new tank is well hard. What I would suggest is do some water changes on the source tank for a day or two and get that TDS closer to the new tank. Let them chill in the source tank for a day or two before moving them to the new one.
