Need advice on sump for breeding rack

Sorry, my knowledge when it comes to calculating things like sump size and pump size is not up to scratch.

Your biggest risk with guppies is temperature swings ... design your system / room as if it was 3 degrees in Benoni. Failing this the filtration will only be usable 8 month in the year and breeding numbers will drop for a bigger part than that.

With drop you loose loads of heat, sponge less so if you can pre-heat the air.

You are making it complicated for yourself.

Sponge filters in each thak, with heater in each tank, or even better if you can insulate and heat the room.

Have your tanks drilled for over flows, and use i simple gravity fed drip system above your rack.

Just use carbon inline if it will be fresh tap water...

But with your guppies and acclimatising, if your water temps are the same +- then you dont have to float or drip.

And your water comes from the same tap anyway so water parameters should be the same in all your tanks, except if theres something wrong.

+1 on Fishlips comments. Sponge Filters in each tank and heat the room rather.

Much cheaper than trying to run heater in each tank and Winter is Coming
