Don't you want the fry to survive? I don't know how long they will protect them, but I guess as long as they can't survive on their own. If I were you I would leave them with the parents and just feed BBS.

True, but you try and sell them. Give some away too. I gave @Hawk 5 of mine and it's wonderful seeing them grow up and survive in another tank, and they look fantastic!

Let me know, I can pop around and bring some, and show you how...really simple and straight forward.

Definitely BBS. It's the best and easy to hatch and feed.

@oscar freak i think the secret is in the salt you use. when i used proper hatching salt i had great success. no i went and bought this cheap salt from LFS and not 1 hatching. and remember the other day i was saying my angels are not interested in the BBS.. thats because it was just eggs that i was throwing in mostly.. there was a couple shrimp but not much.. only figured out how stupid i was after i posted....

Or get the ocean nutrition BS. I hatch mine in a 500ml glass bottle and add no salt (it's already in salt), only a few spoons of BS and 3/4 tank water. Airate at tank temp for 24hrs with light. Works pretty well...

the babies got free swimming and then dissappeared and the parents went back to off mode.i moved them to their own tank so they are alone now, they spawned the same day but continued to eat the very eggs they had just layed.for now they seem to be adjusting to their new home and dont seem very happy.
