Hi all been a while but started up again, first is this 70L Low Tech planted tank. It has a sump filter as I'm sticking to the design as i have never gotten problems with sump filters and i just love them. Currently its very basic as the tank is only 3 weeks old, added the first plants and 4 Rams "So Cute". The whole system is my design Please give comments and ideas what i can add, the stand and cover i made as i was board as hell the one Saturday and decided to give it a shot.

I know:D thats what i got the Drift wood for i just need to decide on a type that's gona blend in nice. The name they had at the shop is "Selaginella Wildenowii". It looked interesting and not that expensive. Was R35.

hmmm - google says it is terrestrial, might not work out that well in the tank over a long time, but with a name like spikemoss it is rather deceiving

Other names Peacock Fern, Wikimedia Error

Nice setup. Just by the way, GBR's should be added to a well matured aquarium of more than 3 months but its different for everyone so I dont know of your personal experience.

    Your tank really looks good.
How did you attach the wood to the steel stand?.
@JRH would you mind taking a close up picture of Selaginella Wildenowii and could i then add it to the non-aquatic plant thread.

    kind regards,
    DewaldC

Noted. These are my first GBR's. I'm monitoring the system with daily checks. I always have sleepless nights after i add the first fish...

@DewaldC I have small sunken bolts going through the wood and the frame. Then covered the holes with wood filler. Sure will take one tomorrow in the day the camera is crap at night.

Nice tank. Nice rams. How many do you have in the tank? Looks like 4...You might need to get rid of 2 once they have paired as these guys need quite a lot of water per fish.
