Very nice when you finally make time to take photos of fish and tank to enter the TOTM and FOTM comps, and you realise your R16000 camera is gone. With photos of your best friends wedding from two weeks ago. And I don't know where its gone, stolen? Have no clue...

So now no camera to enter the comp. Wanted to get the blue rams eating spinach...

:sad2:No camera to take to australia on holiday in two weeks... JUST GREAT!!!! Have 9 lenses but no camera to attach them to...

Having an awesome day! (LOTS OF SARCASM!)

Must have been left behind on the plane... this really sucks. thats what happens when you dog tired and stressed out. My boyfriend must have not taken it from the plane. My hands were full, I reminded him to take it with the rest of the things. he must have missed it. Tjats all I can think. And now where do you start looking. OR tambo is renowned for stealing things from bags. What are the chances they will give something like that back?

eish .. well if you have all the lenses maybe get (borrow) a 450 or something just for the trip, but it is just not the same.

That's the reason that i insured my camera.
It's my understanding that all the nikon and canon cameras has serial numbers,so if you inform Canon SA it will be on a list of stolen cameras.
If the new owner:notrust: brings the camera in for repairs they will contact you.:call2:

Was it insured? I don't take chances with my camera. It is insured under all risks. Doesn't add a huge amount to your insurance.

@Jenn: it is insured. all lenses. bit not the card and not the filters and not the bag. and cant get the memories back. It sounds silly but I am more sad about all the lost photos than the camera. My best friends wedding. trip to swaziland. croc cage diving. all gone...oh well. Will just have to do all of it again i suppose.
