Bump - Tell me, is my asking price to high?

 

Nope. I have seen little or no interest in ground covers. I had a lot of HM the other day. Not one bite either.

 

And about a year ago you could not find any for the love of money

 

It is about Supply and Demand.

About a year ago hardly anybody could supply, and there was a demand for it.
Now just about every grower has started stocking up on ground covers to fulfil the demand, and there is an over-supply.
A single pot of HM was selling at anything between R85 and R150.
Now they are going for much cheaper, with LFS holding specials where they are giving it away at 3 for R30.

 

Don't forget the hobby has tanked ...

Time to look at getting it sustainable - but the retails LFS is suffering from BMW-syndrome - every link in the supply chain needs to do delivers in a M3.

With the R/$ not looking to bad - time to start looking at alternatives ... wishing for the days of R380 for a bag of ADA ;-)
