    Hi Guys one of my Phenochillus is sick her belly is sunken in and she is getting very thinned out.

    Think this might be an internal parasite as she is a wild caught. Have her in a quarantine tank on her own.

    What medicine can be used in this case.

    @lydodd,
    Sounds like Malawi Skinny Disease.
    I found that when a fish had it, there is little one can do.

    You could try anti-biotics I suppose. In the UK, we can't get these without a vet prescription, but maybe you can track some down.

    I have this from time to time with my malawis, especially when one is being targeted by a dominant male - they don't feed so well and the stress causes weight loss.

    Time in a quarantine tank should help relieve the stress and allow the fish to eat some favourite food. I have a labidochromis caeruleus that was really struggling and thin and would only eat peas for a couple weeks. He is now fully fattened and ready to return to the main tank (where he may get bullied again)
