Is there any way of adding extra bracing/support?

Yes you can just weld it on as it is steel. So that wouldnt be a problem

I am going to swipe another shelf from a friend today. Every time I start to save for a welded fish rack, some thing comes up that I have to pay for. I hope it can hold the weight as I am putting a 3ft on top.

Are you guys just using industrial shelving? Right now I have a wooden table...well a door on 2 A frame legs.. holding 2 1.5ft a 1ft and a 60l.. but there is no more space. Just wondering what would be the cheapest way.

    Yeah stands are almost personal.

I have done 3 steel tube stands ...

This one was the most work and is now actually also my desk.

The one thing is consistency - having all the stands at first height of 700mm is ideal for me. did that to the 1.5m that is next-to this stand.

And then the custom 3ft ..

What worked better than what I expected was the book shelving that I have the 3x 2ft tanks on.

But I must say the wood does look nice.

Very nice. Rebel pets also makes very nice stands, ( for those of us who can't weld). Every time I try save for one - something else comes up. @f-fish, you are lucky to have he ability to turn paper ideas into workable products. Wish I had learned to do more handy work growing up
