My search for a Koi Plakat continues into 2022... I contacted a retired Betta breeder in Somerset West and she pointed me in the direction of a Betta breeder based in PE that comes to the Cape every 2 weeks; he apparently goes under the name "SD Aquatics" (not sure on the spelling). Does anyone know of this PE breeder because I can't find any contact info of him on the internet or "SD Aquatics".
