So I decided that to optimise space I will build my own special size raising tanks for my Killi's. First one went well (it's been 20 odd years since I've done this...). Second one I did not put enough silicon on the edge and didn't notice that the two edges did not join where there was some silicone as it did not align 100% Right at the bottom of the tank where the pressure is obviously the highest. Bottom 5 centimetres has no silicon holding it together, only the inside "seal". Now what? Do I remove the entire panel/force silicone in there? Master tank builders please help? tank seal.jpg

Personally the elbow grease is worth it, my tank leaked the first time after just 2 weeks as I tried to "force" some silicone in removed the panels redid the complete tank and 2 years later still ok

just clean the silicone with a stanley blade. and re do the silicone ai ai. make sure you use enough. you can always clean the excess silicone when it dried with a stanley blade again

    Hi
If I were you ,I will redo the whole tank using black silicone.
It will make it worth your while with the "new" look.

    ps. Take your time.
