@Quue - No worries. I know the feeling. I thought it was an endler or an endler hybrid.

Sideline question but whereabouts in Alberton. I grew up in Brackenhurst/Brackendowns and left JHB in 1994. There was an Aquarium shop at the "Bowling Alley/Spar centre". Is it still there?

Jip they are Oddballs. Hides mostly though. So if you add caves and so on, you won't see him that often. Very interesting catfish none the less.

i think so @mydummyname its the oddest thing when you lost and late for a meeting and choose to just stop in for a quick squiz and leave 30mins later with fish and plants... my boss is also a fish nutter but marine... so when the phone call came "where are you?"and i reply "got a tad lost but found a fish store"the convo changes to where and what do they have hahahahaha

@Quue, Just some info and advice...

The male Guppy that is in the first pic is in fact an Endler Guppy male and they won't get much bigger than that. Awesome find by the way...

The grasses that you have planted look more like Mondo Grass and is actually not even an aquatic plant, sorry. It also looks like you have managed to find some Anubias, they are the more spade shaped leaf plants and they should not be planted into the substrate but rather attached to either rocks or wood so that the rhizome does not rot. It also looks like you have picked up a Java Fern, behind the rock on the rhs and that too should be attached to either rocks or wood so that the rhizome does not rot.

Love the Banjo Cat, I think that they are just so stunning, but they tend to hide away a lot and only really come out at night. LOVE the Bulldog Pleco! I think that they are just so stunning with their big mouths. Keep an eye on him though, I remember that some people have said that they are a little more sensative than normal plecos.

Stunning looking tank. I like the simplicity of the scape, keep us updated of your progress.

    Just my 2c worth....
