It's not right....But a little help would be appreciated.

I got a crayfish from my neighbour. I know that its on the illegal species list but I'm not going to kill it or get rid of it.
The questions is.... How do I take care of it?
What does it eat?

 

Bottom feeder pellets and then also any fish that goes to sleep at night, i hade one for i day and it ate itself to death, its best to keep it in its own tank

Food: anything on the bottom, pellets, plants, snails - they are scavengers and aren't fussy- do not over-feed them!
Enough places to hide and alot of gravel or fine sand - they are highly territorial! Large enough tank.
They will eat sick or dying fish or slower fish, they are excellent escape artists!
