How fast does HC grow

    As the title states. How fast will HC grow using the correct light and a DIY CO2 system?

    Also, how well would Flourish excell work instead of the DIY yeast reacter?

    Hc is unfortunately one of those plants that require high light and prez CO2. You can try it with DIY CO2 you just need to prepare yourself for patience and more effort than the prez. As for your other question excel vs DIY it depends on the size tank you have.

    I've got HC in my betta and threadfin rainbow tanks and only use excel and comprehensive in the Betta's tank and nothing in the Rainbow tank. Growth is most probably not on the same level as it would be with pressurized CO2 but it's coming along very well and maintaining its colour.

    I must add that I do have high light and shallow tanks.
