would it be safe to use dried out guava wood in an aquarium? its a hard wood, i will do the boiling and let it leach first.

I got guava wood in my aquarium and fish are thriving. Been in for almost 4 months now and no casualties so I think its OK.

It grows wild on the natal coast, used to use it for perches for my parrots

Just make sure it dries out completely before soaking it, otherwise it can rot. Other then that, it looks good.

Guava wood is an old favorite of experienced aquarists.

It will be fine as long as it is 100% dried out.
If it's still a bit wet it will pollute the water.
