Goldfish Tonic , (marltons brand) What is this??

hi Guys,

This may be a stupid question but iv been thinking about this for a while.

What is this stuff iv been using the Marltons brand goldfish tonic in my Goldfish tank for years, im not really sure why though, but my Goldfish seem happy and healthy.

I remember buying this stuff when i 1st started Fish keeping (goldfish bowl, I know its sad,i was 9) and kept using it ever since.

Anybody know what it is? whats in it? what does it actually do? Theres nothing on the bottle either.

salt tonic as far as I know... no idea what kind of salts and minerals

 

Thanks for your reply eastandmullet I have since stopped using it as often, just a little salt in the tank with a bit of seachem products and good filtration with the temp a little higher then normal for a goldfish and the fish are doing well.
The type of food they eat also plays a big role towards their health. I try and feed them veggies as often as possible .
