    Hi Guy's

I just got my first pair of rams today. I have never kept them before, so any advice appreciated.

Sorry for the poor picture quality, these guys are hard to photograph.

Rams FTW :) Just keep the water parameters right and they will be ok. I love mine.
Its worth doing a bit of googling on them. Off the top of my head, besides clean water, try maintain consistency as they like steady parameters.

I keep mine between 28 and 30deg C although in the past had some that were quite happy at 26C - depends on tank mates.
I feed dry flakes, frozen foods like brine shrimp/ bloodworms etc, as well as boiled peas (shells removed) and thinly cross sliced cucumber. Enjoy em!

Are they in the same tank as the oscars? If so, not a good idea. If they can't fit in the oscars mouth now, they will soon.

    Very nice fish.
But as @2time says above. They aren't suitable to be kept with large aggressive SA Cichlids. Even if they don't get eaten, they will probably be stressed all the time and won't be happy.

Agree rams are stunning but as has been said.... don't think the combination with Oscars and parrots is a good one...

@sarf Sam's Aquarium gets some good stock in, but also some bad. A few sources, as seems to be the case for most LFS. Pet World N1 City has had some nice rams in recently.
