this is my tank at day 10, got the first 5 fish yesterday (3 parrots 2 severums all hiding) decorated with driftwood and terracotta pots to provide hiding places (still in progress). The water still murky, but planning to do a 15% - 25% water change tomorrow. Keeping feeding and light to a minimum as some of you suggested. Running 3 filters, 2 canisters 1 built into the tank, so filtration is good. Planning to introduce the next batch in 2-3 weeks Wish me luck.

Hey natnat.... SO nice to see pics of your first tank and your new interest.... just remeber,it's gonna take a day or two for the little guys to get used to their new home,so dont worry if they hide for a day or two... keep the feeding light, the waterchanges up and resist the urge to add more fish for a month or so....Remmeber,you are starting a little ecosystem that you are completely responsible for and you need to OWN that responsibility... LOVE all the Questions you asked BEFORE you got them...keep questioning and you are on the right track...
And remember to get away from the tank from time to time to interact with the less wet members of your " Family"...lol...Read my signature to get this analogy...lol

PS: You do know that this tank is more than ample to keep a nice grouping of RAINBOWS with what you have already once it's cycled in a month or so...?

thank you for the encouragement, Azurekoi is right it is like a wet addiction, I have to force myself out of the room . I did my first water change today (only 15%)had to control myself from not jumping into the tank with my new and anxious gussets and greet them personally.
