first attempt

    hi guys I tried my first attempt at scaping my tank for for tanganyika cichlids....I'll post a before and after....any comments or critism is welcome....[​IMG][​IMG]

    it's just black fine gravel I got from the lfs....

    @Aj_85 setup looks great, maybe try and create deeper caves for the Frontosa. Frontosa feel comfortable in dimmer /darker areas.

    Having a community with Frontosa and Tropheus can be very tricky and is not advised. These two species have different dietary needs, eventually one of the two species will become malnourished or worse. Tropheus bloat...
    The dietary needs for Tropheus is based on algae and Spirulina, where Frontosa prefer a higher protein based diet.

    The right nutrients for each species is vital towards their well-being.

    Remove the clowns bud , they two worlds apart...
    Try to make more hiding spots for the fronts have a look at the strata of your rocks -it's those lines they make, pack the stones in a more natural way

    the loaches are just there to clean up..hahahaha.....and plants just for abit of contrast in colour and to hide the heater in cannister pipes
