Filters

What would be the best type of filter be? Canister and sump filters surely at the top? What about HOB and internal powerfilters? Sorry if I'm repeating a previously explained topic.

 

In my opinion I will settle for a powerhead leading to a trickle filter, if it is only a powerhead I'll opt for the HOB. The only problem with HOB's are the fact not all tanks can be equipt with one unless you making some modifications to it eg a Jebo tank. I know a number of people opt for the HOB but just ensure that you go for the correct size for your tank. As you mentioned, the way to go is a sump filter and if you are limited due to different factors rather opt for the canister, a bt expensive but worth the money or go for a DIY on a canister, there are a couple of threads on DIY canister filters if you want to go search for some ideas.
