Breeding parrots

    i dont think they can breed? i heard somewhere that they can lay eggs but they are sterile? maybe this thread will help us more

    As far as my knowledge goes they are only cultivated in laboratories as it is not a natural occuring species, never heard about anybody breeding them.

    Parrots are sterile because they are a hybrid of two or more different species. It would be like trying to breed mules :p

    They are sterile because they are hybrids. Similar to mules.
    They do show breeding behavior but eggs are infertile.
