    Males normally have the longer "punk" look.
    Females normally have the pink belly.

    @Kribs,

    Very very well done! Congratulations and all the best on raising them now.
    You have really done well here. Nowadays its nearly impossible to keep these guys alive long enough to feed them twice, let alone spawn and have fry from them.
    Your parents are also nice specimens. Very few specimens where the males black dot is black as it should be, and only the female has those few blue scales in the black dot.

    I dont get jealous often, but you have achieved it to make me envious.

    Rgds

    @ROEKSTE, They are Mikrogeophagus ramirezi, a persistent common name for them is German blue rams, or GBRs. This name originates from the fact that for a long time the best specimens were bred in Germany. They don't actually have anything to do with Germany!

    P.S. @francoisve, congratulations on making Marco jealous!

    @PsyXe , i know the history behind Ram's. The reason why I asked if they where German Ram's is that they where bred to be slightly bigger and stronger than the normal fish. They are also a bit more pricy than the ones we get from east. They only true one's that i know that was imported was via @Altum some time back.

    @francoisve , Very well done on the breeding. Next challenge .. Raising the fry.
