@ROEKSTE it is no surprise, you should see the condition the water treatment facilities are in. They haven't been upgraded since the apartheid era, to try and save money they are only fixing things when it breaks and it has been happening more regularly so now they are sitting with a big giant mess because they have not planned ahead.

Nothing new to us, living in Lichtenburg. It's been like that for the past 2-3 years now. Some times better and some times even worse. Some times, there is water from 5:30 in the morning until around 9 and again from 17:00 till 20:00. The rest of the time - Dry! Why - Poor or non-existing maintenance.

Now ask yourselves - if water infrastructure is so up to $h!t, how are the sewerage treatment facilities doing?

The sad story is that not any of these major power plants and dams/systems has been sustained properly in the past 16yrs and will be falling apart in the near future.. its not about saving money, its about pocketing money.

At least water is easier to store than electricity. You can store water at a fairly low cost to keep yourself going if this starts happening, get prices for installing solar panels and batteries and see how your eyes start watering.

Don't worry I'm sure that the current government will find a way to blame the "apartheid era" for this too... :banghead:

So sick of the whole, we are a down-trodden race, get over it! :hmpf:

Maybe they should have spent the R250k on fixing up other things rather than improving Zumas private compound... Grrr :argh:
