    Hello fellow aquarists
My sister has officially caught the aquarium bug from me and wants to get a betta in her room. Any advice/tips/tricks/warnings? Any input would be welcomed.
    Thx

She needs to read as much as she can on the topic - that will help her understand everything put into keeping fish.

@Ladysphinx can also advise as she has a betta or two, not sure if the one has already been given away.

I have 7 day old cory fry and been reading tons of material on how to raise and feed them.

If she knows the basics of fish keeping and have the patianse for the cycle period go for it.

Betta's are easy. They mostly need the basics in the normal aquaria needs. Only real advice I would give is she needs to get food specialized for Betta feeding as Betta seem to enjoy eating it more than normal fish food and go really slow on feeding it. Blood worms will also be appreciated. Be careful I once had a Betta that ate itself to death . I put it in a tank with larger molly fry I thought to big to be eaten. it died trying to eat them. I keep my Betta at a constant temperature of 25 degrees, they also don't like strong flowing water and love they love plants they can swim and weave through. Actually very charming fish. Also Betta personalities really variate, Jazz is easy going and ignores other tank mates while Blue is aggressive and you can't add any tank mates to his tank without him killing and mauling them' even fish bigger then him isn't safe.
