    Hey

I would like to know what some good tankmates for a heavily planted 60l tank with 2 bronze corys and 3 kuhli loaches would be? If possible, im looking for something a bit out of the ordinary but any suggestions are welcome.

Hmmm I actually see mine pretty often, esp when its feeding time and one of them comes out and swims circles whenever its about to rain, pretty awesome :) But was actually thinking of something to fill more of the medium to top area of the tank, at the moment everything is pretty much living at the bottom.

Well I had some red eye tetras before and they were a bit boring and didn't really look all the interesting either.

If you go down the Apisto route, you should look at either Cacatuoides or Agassizii. These are good starters for Apisto's, and don't require too much special care. As long as your pH is below 6.8, and your nitrates low, and feed a varied diet of good quality frozen foods, then they should thrive. Cacatuoides are the easiest of all Apistos in my opinion, but Agassizii are still one of the easier ones.

60L would house one pair of Apistos only.... Any more and there will be territorial disputes and fights would ensue and could/most likely result in deaths!

Personally I would go for one pair of Cacatuoides, as my feeling is that 60L is a little on the small side for a pair of Agassizii? The Males grow to a rather impressive 8cm-10cm, where as the Caca will grow to around 5cm - 6cm. Doesn't sound a lot different, but in a smaller tank, it can make a huge difference!

    Hope that helps a little?

    Regards
    G!
