so my angel parents, after weaning their first batch of babies for a very long time, decided to have a second try at parenthood.
But my gosh, did they make a lot of babies.

two weeks after getting rid of the last lot of babies, i watched them lay eggs, and lay and lay and lay.... wow thought it would never stop.

Then 2 days later I had a leaf "alive" with wrigglers... there was babies upon babies...

Now they are all free swimming and doing well - growing by the minute...

    Very interesting....

here's some pics to try and share....

Do you wean them off the brineshrimp completely and if so at what age?

I have 5 pairs of angels on their second spawn and the first batch are 3 weeks old tomorrow.

All your help will be appreciated.

What is the reasoning of feeding brine shrimp to the fry. I have feed different flake foods and just simply crushed it super fine

@ phishman - yeah after approx 2-3 weeks you can wean them off completely

@ Hitman - the BS is more nutritious and i thinks easier to eat for them. maybe the fact that its alive and moving also helps to teach them to eat it... Not sure

+-2 months later and i have had to move the babies out of the main tank, into a smaller tank.
so i counted them as i caught them and guess how many.......:wondering:

    122....little baby angels

    :amazed::p:amazed:

i still think that is a lot - even at this stage - im sure a lot has died since they were wrigglers...

    Jip that is a lot.

Sold my fry a while back and had 184 after a few also died.

But can you imagine how many of those little fry would actually survive
in the amazon? No wonder they lay so many eggs.
