You know you have a problem when there is more hair in your tank than on your head .

My algae is not terrible really. I have/had them all. BBA, GBA, green spot algae, brown algae... Which one would you like me to send you? :blink1:

@DewaldC - Pretty much. Things got quite badly out of hand. My filter wasn't removing particles in my water, I had a few lighting "dead" spots, I was probably over feeding, lighting period was a little excessive, ferts were irregular and the tannins in the water were making the tank quite dark.

Will any of the above- mentioned products get rid of BBA? Or any other product?

Getting Crystal Algae Clear on Sunday. Will give it a go and see what happens. Just an update on the Marltons Algae Cure. Waste of money I think. It's been 3 days and no improvement. Infact, the hair algae is still growing with the stuff in the tank.

    Update on Hair Algae

So I have Crystal Algae Clear in the tank for a week now. Hair Algae still doesn't succumb to the treatment. Any Idea's please. Going to do 30% water change this afternoon, and dose again if I have to. Removed most Hair algae with a tooth brush prior to dosing.

    Tank Size:
    1500mm x 450mm x 500mm high

    Lighting:
    6 x 54W T5 6500K
    On 7 hours a day

    Filtration:
    Tetratec EX 1200

    Plant Fertilizers:
    Seachem Excel: 2 times weekly
Seachem Iron: once weekly (With saturday water change)
Seachem Flourish Comprehensive: once weekly (With saturday water change)
Seachem Flourish Nitrogen: once weekly (With saturday water change)
Seachem Flourish Phosphorus: once weekly (With saturday water change)
Seachem Flourish Potassium: once weekly (With saturday water change)

    Fish:
    Tiger Barbs
    Ancistrus Pleco
    Clown pleco
    Black Ruby barbs
    Sterbai Cory's
    GBR

Just giving fish list if there's perhaps some treatment that can affect them.

I have tried 4 days blackout and still nothing. I do 2 x 30% water changes per week.

    Help please. :sad2:

    Hi Slo

Are you using enough of the macros and micros. I have read that underdosing can aggrevate algae issues? Also, that's a lot of light in your tank. Maybe that's not helping either?
