Advice on lighting needed!!

Heys guys. Here is a lighting question:
I have just set up my 250l planted tank. Will be C02 and ferts dosing. I only have one 30 watt daro flo-glo tube in there. Can I use a normal 910mm bulb in the tank and not the special LFS kinds. Are these better for the plants or do the hardware shop ones work fine? Thanks in adavance.

 

Mmm im not to clued up, but in my experience, the types meant for plants like the growlux is best for plants, so since you have gone all the way with co2 and ferts, rather go for decent lighting. Sure the other guys will agree.

 

2x6500 and 2x8000k t5 bulbs get them or order them from a electrical store. Or lamphouse. Osram or sylvania lights.

 

yeah, no need to get them from the LFS. As long as you know what you're looking for, hardware stores will have the right stuff at a lower price.
