Advice Needed...

Hi There Dudes and Dudettes,

Hope everyone is doing well.

So i decided to buy myself a new 3 ft tank and would like to use my current 3 ft as a sump.
Checked around for prices and managed to get one R250 brand new (This is the standard 3 foot). Think thats a good price, but if not, let me know .

Anyway, i need to know how big of a hole needs to be drilled for the sump for it to operate at its optimal level. Are there any tools that one can use to calculate this?

Also I need to get myself a stand for my tank, one thats made of steel tubing that can hold a sump under the main tank (similar to the pic). Does anyone have a spare stand that i can buy or maybe know of it being available (for a reasonable price) at a petshop?

Search the forum for "overflor pipe". There's been a lot of information on this. (Search function at the top of the screen)

 

First get the bulkhead, then drill according to its size, 30-40mm
